Great news on HIV research

"A team of Spanish researchers say they have made an important breakthrough in HIV research, developing a new vaccine against the virus that is significantly more effective than earlier attempts. Advancing vaccine research could eventually eliminate the need for the expensive methods currently used to treat HIV-positive individuals (www.thinkprogess.com, 2013)."

Culp-Ressler, Tara. (Jan 4, 2013) "Huge Breakthrough In HIV Research Brings Us Closer To A Vaccine." Retrieved January 7, 2013 from www.thinkprogress.org: http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/01/04/1398631/hiv-vaccine-breakthrough/

This is a great step forward on the search for a cure/vaccine. Along with treatmets such as PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), we are close to erradicating HIV. I hope we find a cure soon.
